The Star Trek Trailer

The crew above, aboard the USS Enterpr--Apple Store.

The trailer will be featured with "The Quantum Of Solace" on Nov 14th. but if you can't wait, read below:

The trailer begins with a '60s Corvette convertible speeding down the road with the police in pursuit. The driver, a 13-year-old boy, leaps from the car as it goes off a cliff. The police officer comes to a stop on a hover bike and asks, "Who are you? What's Your Name?"

The boy replies, "James Tiberius Kirk!" (Lame) the trailer jumps to an older Kirk (Chris Pine) as he rides a hover bike while voice over says, "You never found yourself here, you never really fit in. What you choose to do with you’re life is up to you."Kirk stares at a futuristic building and the voice over begins again, "Maybe you were meant for something different, something bigger."

Next is Spock's mother (Winona Ryder) holding a baby Vulcan saying, "You will always be a part of two worlds."

The crew walking around the bridge. A 20ish Spock angrily pointing at a 20ish Kirk saying, "I will not be lectured by you!" an angry Kirk in Spock's face shouts, "Why don't you do something about it!?!"(Uggg.) Spock fights Kirk.

At this point, the trailer goes ape shit with action, effects, ships fire, people being thrown, crew members run, phaser fire and engine nacels explode etc..

Now you don't have to sit through the trailer.

The Danish Girl

Charlize Theron will star with Nicole Kidman in a movie called The Danish Girl, based on a novel about real life Danish artists and husband and wife Einar and Greta Wegener.

In the 1920s, the male Einar (Kidman) posed as a woman for his painter wife Greta (Theron).
The portraits became all the rage in Copenhagen, which prompted Greta to encourage Einar to dress as a woman.
By 1931, the husband took his role another step and underwent a landmark sex-change operation that had repercussions not only in their home but also around the world.

Ugg...Zack Snyders"Watchmen"

WATCHMEN director Zack Snyder confirmed rumors that the ending of the film is not the same as the graphic novel. There was a meltdown among hardcore "fanboys" when a test screening of the film in Portland, depicted an ending that does not include the squid-like creature of the comic book.

"The one thing that was cool was that anyone who had read the graphic novel who was at the screening rated the film 'excellent' - for me I'm like 'I'm done'. The fans, God love 'em, they're all up in arms about the squid. What they should be up in arms about are things like shooting the pregnant woman, 'God is real and he's American', whether THAT'S in the movie. That's my point of view, maybe I'm crazy."

"The squid was not in the movie when I got the script, the squid was never in any draft that I saw. My point is only that there was this elegant solution to the squid problem that I kind of embraced."

Asked about the new ending he said: "I won't say exactly but Doctor Manhattan has a certain energy signature, it's clearly his thing."

*Highlight For Spoiler*

Ozymandias detonates bombs in major cities around the world that have the same energy signature as Dr. Manhattan thus uniting the world against a common enemy(Dr. Manhattan) and eliminating the threat of nuclear war between Russia and the USA.

Call me a "fanboy" but I dug the original ending and can't stand the glossy Batman & Robin (1997) styled costumes (with nipples) they went with. I'm with Alan Moore on never watching it but if I do, I'll catch it on TV. Thanks Zack.

Wolverine Teaser Trailer

20th Century Fox will release the first X-Men Origins:Wolverine teaser trailer along with "The Day The Earth Stood Still", starring Keanu Reeves.
I don't know why people trip on Keanu as "Klaatu", I think his thousand-yard stare and stilted delivery are perfect for portraying an alien or...stoner.
"The Day The Earth Stood Still" re-make will be released on Dec.12th.

David Gibbons On The Watchmen Film

http://www.coverbrowser.com/image/watchmen/1-1.jpg
Dave Gibbons, the artist of the graphic novel Watchmen, did not think his work would be translated to the screen while he was drawing the book alongside writer Alan Moore.

Gibbons said he would have been "quite happy for Watchmen just to be a graphic novel" as it was "the way it was conceived".

And he appreciates that the big screen adaptation is being handled by fans of the story.

"Now that it's being made into a movie, I'm really glad that the people who are doing it really get it and are putting the same passion into it that [Alan and I] put into the comic," he told New York magazine.

Gibbons, who has been working with director Zack Snyder on the film, revealed that he is pleased to have been approached for his input.

"Considering that Alan and I sold all our rights to DC way back when we first did the book, and the fact that the movie people really have no obligation to consult me at all, I'm delighted that they have done so," he said.
